| Ladakh: on the First Friday of the Holy Month of Ramazan today, there was no Friday Congregational Prayer in Kargil and people following the directions of the Religious Leaders as well as of the Administration opted to perform prayers at home. From the day of Lockdown in the country, people of Kargil restricted themselves mostly to homes and offered prayers particularly during the days of holy month of Ramazan and there are no other gatherings taking place in the district. The Iftar parties have also been limited and instead people are helping the poor with meals. Meanwhile, Kargil Deputy Commissioner Baseer Ul Haq Chowdhary today appealed to the people to avoid gatherings at Mosques as the Corona virus spreads due to close contacts and gatherings. He further said that staying at home is the best option as well as best service for the human kind. |
