Uddhav government’s big plan to deal with corona crisis, break on new plans.

Mumbai: Maharashtra is the worst hit in the Corona crisis in the country. The state economy has suffered a lot due to the corona lockdown and the exposure of the most infected patients. Therefore, to deal with this crisis, the Uddhav government of Maharashtra has announced a cut in its big expenses. Also, the state government has put a break for a few days on new development projects and new recruits.

In fact, the Uddhav government has prepared some plans for Maharashtra to deal with the economic situation created by the Kovid-19 crisis. The state government has made several proposals to cut expenditure.

Review of plans

To deal with the Corona crisis, the Maharashtra government is reviewing ongoing plans and deciding on a priority basis whether such a scheme will run or will be postponed or canceled. All the departments which have to cancel the schemes will inform the state government about this by May 31.

Only 33% of the budget will be funded

According to the prepared proposal, each department will get only 33% of the total budgetary allowance. The proposal states that every program should be reviewed and only necessary plans should be finalized.

According to the proposal, there will be no expenditure on new schemes. No new schemes will also be proposed. This would also apply to schemes that were approved by the Cabinet by March 2020.

Priority of expenditure of departments has been fixed. Accordingly, public health, drug administration, relief and rehabilitation, food and civil supplies will remain the priority of the government. However, the expenditure will be limited to corona precautionary and treatment related operating expenses only.

Break on new development projects and recruitment

Purchase related to emergency medical equipment is permitted. Apart from this, no new construction, development work will be done. The ongoing and approved works will continue. No new recruitment will be done in any other department except the Department of Public Health and Drug Administration. No officer or employee will be transferred during the financial year.

Explain that in February 2020, Finance Minister Ajit Pawar presented a budget of Rs 4.34 lakh crore for 2020-21. This is seen as the highest ever cut in the history of Maharashtra. AajTak.
